in-akustik reference absorber in various colors in-akustik reference absorber under loudspeakers

High-Tech gel absorber

High-end gel absorber Quality: Referenz Weight classes from 5 to 40 kg.

High-end and hi-fi systems are a combination of high-precision and fragile devices. Perfectly attuned with each other, they are capable of playing back music in outstanding quality. To ensure that all components can work without interference, just like sensitive measuring equipment they need to be protected as far as possible against vibrations and shocks. Vibrations occur in various ways and can be transmitted by structure-borne or airborne sound. The combination of airborne and structure-borne sound mechanically stimulates all components in the hi-fi chain to vibrate. Studies show that this has a considerable impact on the sound. This Referenz absorber set provides a solid basis for sound without these vibrations. The absorbers have a special high-tech gel at their core which absorbs the vibration energy. For optimum decoupling of the devices and speakers the set includes twelve gel pads for different weight classes.

Audio-Digital & Video Cable

High-quality coaxial cable Quality: Premium Double shielding

The Premium digital audio/video cable with a solid copper core conductor and double shielding is designed for connecting streaming devices, CD or Blu-ray players to an AV receiver or an audio DAC (digital-to-analog converter). It is also suitable for transmitting analog video signals. Wave impedance: Wave impedance is the most important parameter for cables that transmit high frequencies sand digital information. It results from the geometry of the cable and the dielectric constant of the dielectric used. The wave impedance is precisely adapted to the respective application in order to avoid reflections in the cable. This is the basic prerequisite for fast and error-free transmission of digital information and authentic reproduction. Gold-plated contacts: Surfaces are always rough when viewed under a microscope. The effective contact surface is thus reduced to the "peaks" on the respective surfaces. Gold is a very soft material that evens out tiny irregularities, increases the contact surface and reduces undesirable transition resistance. In addition, the precious metal gives the contact surfaces long-term protection from corrosion. Shielding: EMC interference, from sources such as mobile phone and WiFi networks, is constantly increasing. A dense (e.g. multi-layered) shielding is necessary to protect sensitive signals from this interference, so preserving the fine details.

Audio-Digital & Video Cable

Universal coaxial cable Quality: Star Double shielding

The Star digital audio/video cable features a highly flexible design with dense spiral shielding and gold-plated connectors. It is designed for connecting streaming devices, CD or Blu-ray players to an AV receiver or an audio DAC (digital-to-analog converter). It is also suitable for transmitting analog video signals. A crucial factor for cables that transmit high-frequency digital information is the wave impedance. This value depends on the geometry of the cable and the dielectric constant of the dielectric used. Precise adjustment of the wave impedance to the respective application is essential in order to avoid reflections in the cable. This is the only way that digital information can be transmitted quickly and error-free, enabling authentic reproduction. Because surfaces always appear rough under the microscope, the gold plating of the connectors plays a decisive role. This roughness means that the effective contact area is reduced to the touching "peaks" of the surfaces. A very soft material, gold evens out these tiny irregularities, increases the contact surface and reduces undesirable transition resistance. In addition, the precious metal gives the contact surfaces long-term protection from corrosion. The cable adheres to the conventional coaxial design in which the "hot" signal conductor is located in the center and is protected by an enveloping shield that also serves as return conductor for the signal. This tried-and-tested design is suitable for a wide range of applications, and ensures that your audio and video transmissions are of the best-possible quality.

Interconnect Cables: Unlock Your System's True Potential

What are Interconnect cables and why do they matter?

Interconnect cables form the critical link between components in your audio system, carrying line level signals from source equipment through your preamp to your power amp and speakers. These cables connect your CD player to amplifier, DAC to powered monitors, or turntable to receiver - ensuring pristine signal transfer at every stage.

The difference between standard cables and premium interconnects reveals itself immediately: reduced distortion, enhanced clarity, and the ability to hear subtle details that lesser cables simply cannot deliver. Quality interconnect cables don't just connect - they preserve the musical integrity your components were designed to produce.

Do interconnect cables make a difference?

Absolutely. While the extent varies depending on system resolution, experienced audiophiles consistently agree that cables matter. High-quality interconnects with superior shielding and advanced conductor materials enhance sound quality by blocking noise interference and maintaining signal integrity across every connection.

The benefits become unmistakable in revealing systems: tighter bass response, expanded soundstage depth, and crystalline clarity that brings you closer to the original performance. Premium interconnects help your equipment deliver the best performance possible, making them essential for audiophiles who demand nothing less than reference-grade fidelity.

in-akustik's AIR Helix technology: Engineering Excellence

What sets in-akustik interconnect cables apart is our proprietary AIR Helix technology - a breakthrough in cable design that redefines what's possible in signal transmission. This innovative construction uses an air-dielectric approach where conductors spiral in a precisely calculated helix pattern with minimal insulation contact.

The advantage is profound: air has the lowest dielectric constant of any practical insulator, which means dramatically reduced capacitance and virtually eliminated signal interference. Your audio system can finally produce the transparent, natural sound it was designed to deliver, free from the coloration and distortion that conventional cable designs introduce.

RCA interconnect cables: Universal compatibility

RCA interconnect cables remain the standard in high-quality audio systems, offering reliable connections for most home equipment. Our RCA cables feature high-purity copper conductors, precision-machined connectors with gold plating, and multi-layer shielding designed to block noise interference from nearby electronics.

Whether connecting source components to amplifiers or linking processors in your signal chain, our RCA interconnects maintain signal quality over short to medium runs. The robust construction ensures long-term reliability, while the superior shielding keeps your listening experience free from unwanted hum or electromagnetic interference.

XLR and balanced interconnects: professional-grade performance

Balanced XLR interconnects offer clear technical and sonic advantages in high-end audio systems, both over standard and longer cable runs. By transmitting the signal differentially, they effectively reject noise and preserve signal integrity. Even over moderate distances, systems can benefit from a cleaner soundstage, lower noise floor, and enhanced microdetail resolution.

Over longer runs or in electrically noisy environments, the benefits become even more pronounced: XLR cables minimize hum and common-mode interference, maintain dynamic contrast, and support a more precise spatial image. Many audiophiles report that XLR connections deliver an overall more controlled, transparent, and detailed performance, making them a preferred choice for high-end enthusiasts seeking maximum fidelity and signal purity.

Conductor materials that enhance your listening experience

We offer interconnect cables with carefully selected conductor materials to match different sonic preferences and system requirements. High-purity copper delivers warm, balanced sound with excellent detail retrieval. Silver-plated copper conductors provide enhanced clarity and dynamic precision, revealing fine details in complex musical passages.

For ultimate transparency, our ultra-pure silver conductors preserve the finest sonic nuances, creating an exceptionally revealing listening experience. Select models feature cryogenically treated conductors, where extreme cold refines the metal's crystalline structure to further reduce distortion and deliver a more natural, effortless sound.

Superior shielding: Block noise interference

Modern homes are filled with potential interference sources: Wi-Fi routers, smartphones, dimmer switches, and other electronics that generate electromagnetic noise. Our interconnects incorporate multi-layer shielding designs - combining braided copper and foil barriers - that effectively block these unwanted signals before they reach your amplification stages.

This superior shielding ensures your audio system produces clean, grain-free sound even in challenging electrical environments. Combined with our AIR Helix geometry, which physically separates conductors from interference sources, you get the quietest possible background for your music to emerge from.

Finding your perfect interconnect cable

Our range spans from high-performance entry models to reference-grade statement series cables, each designed to deliver exceptional value at its price point. Entry-level options provide immediate improvements over generic cables, while mid-range interconnects incorporate advanced materials and enhanced shielding for discerning enthusiasts.

Our premium and statement series cables employ our most sophisticated technologies - including AIR Helix construction, exotic conductor materials, and hand-assembled connectors - for systems where ultimate fidelity matters. Every cable in our lineup benefits from decades of acoustic research and engineering expertise, ensuring you hear music the way artists intended.

in-akustik Reference NF-2405 AIR Audio Cable in-akustik Reference NF-2405 AIR Audio Cable
NF-2405 AIR | XLR
High-end audio cable Quality: Referenz AIR Helix Point-to-Point

Breathtaking sound thanks to air insulation - we have already created many innovative designs on the way to perfect insulation, such as DUO-PE insulation or PETS (PE Tube Support). The Referenz NF-2405 cable is another true milestone and an absolute world first in the cable sector. Normally, the conductors are kept at a distance from each other by more or less high-quality filling and insulation materials. With the NF-2405, however, the conductors run through a series of clips connected in series, which form the inner framework and give the NF-2405 exceptional flexibility for high-end cables. The NF-2405 is manufactured entirely in Germany, like all speaker and audio cables in the Referenz series. The clips are assembled by hand with meticulous care in the company's own factory and then the Cross Link super-speed waveguide is threaded in. The resulting Air Helix is then also shielded by hand and fitted with a PE network jacket before the finished cable is assembled with the XLR 180° connectors developed in-house. New XLR 180° plug: It is only possible to insert XLR connectors in one direction. This can be annoying as the position of the XLR sockets in devices varies. In order for the cable to fit, it must sometimes be twisted by force. This puts a strain on cables, plugs and device sockets and sometimes simply looks a mess. The new XLR 180° plugs developed in-house can be rotated by +/- 45 degrees, i.e., up to a total of +/- 90 degrees from connector to connector. The finishing touch for perfect cabling. NF-404 Micro AIR | RCA
Referenz Micro AIR Quality: Referenz Air dielectric

The RCA and XLR outputs on hi-fi components transmit very weak signals and are therefore highly sensitive to a cable’s electrical properties—particularly its capacitance. High cable capacitance acts like a low-pass filter: it attenuates high frequencies and causes phase shifts that degrade the musical reproduction. Micro AIR technology consistently reduces capacitance, thereby preserving the integrity of the audio signal—for unadulterated reproduction across the entire frequency spectrum, from powerful bass to the finest high-frequency details. Another critical factor is signal noise within the conductor structure. Uncontrolled contact points between the individual wires can generate micro-distortions that manifest sonically as an unpleasant “hissing” sound during S-sounds, among other things. The specially developed Guided Copper construction of the NF-404 specifically addresses this problem: The individual conductors are precisely separated and insulated from one another by PE wires. This ensures a defined structure and a consistent, low-loss signal flow. The symmetrical architecture of the NF-404 Micro AIR also offers high immunity to electromagnetic interference. In environments with numerous potential sources of interference, such as switching power supplies, Wi-Fi, or cellular networks, stray signals are effectively compensated for. The result is stable, low-interference transmission. Whether used on its own or in combination with the LS-404 speaker cable, the NF-404 Micro AIR unlocks the full sound potential of your system and delivers an open, precise, and detailed sound. NF-1205 AIR Pure Silver | XLR
High-end audio cable Quality: Referenz AIR Helix Point-to-Point | Pure Silver

Cable capacitance plays a decisive role, especially for audio cable connections between individual devices. As the signal sources are very weak and react sensitively to high cable capacitance, audio cables are virtually predestined for air insulation using air helix technology. Adding another highlight to this perfect audiophile foundation, we then focused on the conductor material of the cables. Copper in the appropriate purity is already a very good conductor. A superconductor, where electrical resistance is zero, would be perfect, of course. Unfortunately, superconducting materials require temperatures of at least -70 degrees. Under realistic operating conditions, the best conducting material we have is currently silver. At 61.35 S/m (Siemens pro Meter), its conductivity is approximately six percent superior to that of copper. However, this precious metal is about 100 times more expensive.
