1. Accessibility statement

In-akustik GmbH & Co. KG is committed to making its website accessible in accordance with the BFSG.

This accessibility statement applies to the following websites:

2. General description and key features of the services

Our website serves as an online shop for goods. Goods are physical items.

We present products in our online shop. You can place these products in an electronic shopping cart and then order and pay for them. In addition, you can request selected products to test at home as a loan or book a demonstration.

At the top of the website, you will find a navigation menu with categories that take you to the individual offers on our website.

Each product has a detail page with information about features, scope of delivery, and price. Once a product is in the shopping cart, the ordering process can be started from there.

If you only want to borrow a product, do not place it in the shopping cart, but click on the "Test at home for 14 days" button. In the window that then opens, you can submit a loan request to us by entering the required information.

At the bottom of the page, you will find links to our legal notice, legal information, payment and delivery details, and other service offerings.

3. Description of the service process

Various categories are visible on the homepage. By clicking on them, you are taken to the detail pages.

3.1 Purchasing

You can select categories via the navigation and view an overview of all related products.

The products presented in our online shop do not constitute a legally binding offer but are a non-binding online catalogue.

You can select the displayed products and place them “in the shopping cart” without obligation via the corresponding button. To complete a purchase, you can either log in to an existing customer account or place an order as a guest. A binding order – that is, an offer to conclude a contract for the products in the shopping cart – is submitted when you click the “order with obligation to pay” button. You can identify input errors because your entered data will be displayed again immediately before submitting the order. You can correct any identified input errors by going back to the respective input field and making the correction there. After placing an order, we confirm receipt by email with an automatic confirmation of receipt.

3.2 Order for home testing - only available in Germany (German Website)

For certain products, we offer the option to order them as a loan to test at home.

To do so, click on the “Test at home for 14 days” link on the detail page of the respective product.

You will then be taken to a window where we ask you various questions. After you have entered your answers and confirmed the privacy policy, you can submit a request to borrow the product for 14 days by clicking the “submit” button. Afterwards, we will contact you to discuss the further details of the loan.

3.3 Book a demonstration - only available in Germany (German Website)

For certain products, we offer the option to have them demonstrated at our company headquarters. To do so, click on the “Book a demonstration in the showroom now!” link on the detail page of the respective product.

You will then be taken to a webpage where, in the lower section, we ask you various questions in a form. You can go directly to this form by clicking the “Book a listening session now” button on that page.

After you have entered the answers in the form and confirmed the privacy policy, you can submit a request for your desired demonstration appointment by clicking the “submit” button. We will then contact you to confirm the requested appointment or work with you to find an alternative date.

4. Accessibility status

This website is currently partially compliant with the Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) due to the following inconsistencies and exceptions. It partially meets the requirements of EN 301 549 V3.2.1 (2021-03) in conjunction with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2. We are continuously working to improve accessibility.

5. Implemented Measures

  • Semantically structured HTML with headings (H1–H6)
  • Omission of modal pop-ups without keyboard control
  • Alternative text (“alt” attributes) for most images
  • Labeled form elements and clear error messages
  • Use of meaningful HTML structures such as <main>, <nav>, and <footer>
  • Responsive design: The layout automatically adapts to the screen size of the device (PC, notebook, tablet, or smartphone)
  • Videos with subtitles: Embedded YouTube videos include automatically generated subtitles
  • Breadcrumbs indicate page position and are properly marked up
  • Prices are displayed as text and not only embedded in images

6. Non-accessible content and planned measures

PDF documents

Some PDF documents, such as product brochures and user manuals, have not yet been created in an accessible format according to the PDF/UA standard. These documents are currently difficult to read with assistive technologies. However, such documents were created before 28 June 2025 and are therefore not subject to the BFSG pursuant to § 1 (4) no. 2.

Measures: Future PDF documents will be created in an accessible format.

Embedded videos

All product and explanatory videos that are not embedded via YouTube currently lack subtitles and audio descriptions. This limits usability for people with hearing and visual impairments. These are pre-recorded time-based media that were published before 28 June 2025, and are therefore not subject to the BFSG pursuant to § 1 (4) no. 1.

Measures: Future videos will be created in an accessible format.

Navigation without a mouse

Currently, the search function, mega menu sub-items, variant selection on product pages, and tab selection on product pages are not operable via keyboard.

Measures: These issues will be resolved through software updates and refinements by December 2025.

Color contrasts

Some control elements (e.g. buttons, links, navigation) have insufficient color contrast, which impairs readability, especially for people with visual impairments.

Measures: All affected elements will be adjusted to meet WCAG 2.1 contrast requirements by December 2025.

ARIA attributes

Certain interactive areas (e.g. shopping cart, forms, product filters) currently lack sufficient ARIA attributes. As a result, usability with screen readers is limited.

Measures: Correct ARIA attributes will be implemented step by step by December 2025.

7. Feedback and contact information

If you notice any barriers on our website or need information about non-accessible content, please contact us by email at service[at]in-akustik.de, by phone at +49 (0) 7634 5610-0, or via our contact form. We strive to remove the reported barriers and provide you with the requested information in an accessible format.
