This HDMI splitter simultaneously distributes picture and sound from an HDMI source (e.g. Blu-ray player, PS5 or similar) to up to eight displays (e.g. LED/plasma TV or projector). The splitter is HDMI 1.4 compatible and can handle all popular HDMI formats thanks to its high bandwidth of up to 10.2 Gbps. These include 3D and Full HD 1080p as well as the new high-resolution 4K x 2K format. The intelligent EDID management system (EDID Engine) automatically generates the necessary EDID data for the best picture and sound quality on the connected devices. It also ensures that all displays are able to play back images and sound at the same time.

The integrated scaler allows old and new devices to be combined and provides the appropriate format for each of them. This means a new 4K-capable TV actually receives a 4K format, even if an older Full HD TV is connected to the splitter in parallel. The intelligent EDID management (EDID engine) automatically generates the EDID data required for the source. With the appropriate adapter, this interface allows picture and sound to be played back in HD quality on a TV with HDMI input. The Premium MHL/HDMI Switch Box has an integrated MHL adapter. Smartphones and tablet PCs can be connected to the MHL input on the front of the unit, provided they support the MHL standard. The switch also has three HDMI inputs that can handle all common HDMI formats.
