The HDMI splitter simultaneously distributes the picture and sound of an HDMI source (e.g. Blu-ray player, PS4) to two displays (e.g. UHD TV or projector). The splitter is HDMI 2.0 compatible and supports formats up to 4k with 50 or 60 Hz as well as the HDCP 2.2 copy protection standard. It is also downwards compatible with smaller formats such as 1080p. The splitter identifies the connected displays and automatically selects the optimum playback format thanks to the EDID engine.

The integrated scaler allows old and new devices to be combined and provides the appropriate format for each of them. This means a new 4K-capable TV actually receives a 4K format, even if an older Full HD TV is connected to the splitter in parallel. The intelligent EDID management (EDID engine) automatically generates the EDID data required for the source. The splitter therefore ensures that the connected devices always achieve their maximum potential.

The Star HDMI splitter distributes an HDMI source (e.g. set-top box or DVD player) to two displays (e.g. LCD or plasma panels). The splitter is HDMI 1.3 compatible and supports all common formats. For long cable lengths, we recommend using the power supply unit included with the splitter.

MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) is the name of the new AV interface for mobile devices. Smartphones and tablet PCs that support this standard use their micro USB port for this purpose. With the appropriate adapter, this interface allows picture and sound to be played back in HD quality on a TV with HDMI input. The Premium MHL/HDMI Switch Box has an integrated MHL adapter. Smartphones and tablet PCs can be connected to the MHL input on the front of the unit, provided they support the MHL standard. The switch also has three HDMI inputs that can handle all common HDMI formats.

The Exzellenz Wireless HDMI Kit | 3D transmits picture and sound signals wirelessly up to 30m*. The kit supports Full HD, 3D and multi-channel audio formats. The set consists of a transmitter and a receiver, which are connected to the source or TV via the HDMI interface. For convenient control, commands from IR remotes can be transmitted back to the source via the return channel and the supplied IR sensors. The transmitter also has an HDMI output with a loop-through function. A TV can be connected here in parallel, close to the source, for example. In this case, the set works like an HDMI splitter. Transmitter and receiver are supplied with power via micro USB sockets using the power supply units provided. Alternatively, they can be powered via free USB sockets, e.g. on the Blu-Ray player or TV. However, this requires USB-A to Micro-B cables (not included) and the USB socket used must supply at least 1A. *Depending on the structural circumstances and the EMC load in the immediate surroundings.
