The future is digital: Fast, sharp, flexible. Extremely high rates of data (9 gigabytes) have to be transmitted cleanly. Where a digital channel meets a digital receiver, the right cable is essential. Up to now, digital devices possess connections for DVI cables. However, the standard of the future will be the HDMI cable (High Definition Multimedia Interface), because it transmits up to 1080 lines safely, even with longer cables - and, in addition, up to eight sound channels.
Everything else belongs to the past.
